Finding Our Stride

Niche Weekly: 04/23/2025

Hey! It’s Wyatt!

Welcome back to another edition of Niche Weekly!

I hope you enjoyed Quin writing the newsletter last week, I had an accounting exam, so I was unable to! 😅 Hoping we can mix it up moving forward and switch off writing this for you guys!

Here’s what I’ve got for you this week:

  • Finding Our Social Media Identity 🎥

  • Balancing a Biz + College 📖

  • Summer Plans! 😎

Finding Our Social Media Identity 🎥

If you remember, a few weeks back, I mentioned a BIG push with social media, where we were planning on trying out all different types of content. Well, we did that! From brain rot, to vlogs, to business info, to basic information about Niche; we posted a HUGE variety of content the past few weeks.

It’s obviously a very important part of finding your stride on social media to experiment with what you want to post. Now that we’ve messed around a bit in different types of posting, I feel that it’s important for us to hone ourselves, and focus our lenses on a more unique, consistent, and signature type of content style. This will make the brand, and our social media channels feel less like a conglomerate of random posts (which they are right now 🤣) and more like a steady, artful, and trustworthy brand.

We’re in the process right now of calculating that social media style. In my eyes right now, that means we need to identify the:

  • Type of Posts

  • Style (Edits/Colors/Lenses)

  • Message

  • Branding

ALL of the content we’re planning to post should stick to one theme underneath all of these branches. So that our social media is more than just updates and posts. It’s a story, and it connects with you all, the audience.

Balancing a Biz + College 📖

I’m just wrapping up my first semester of college, here at UGA. I wanted to talk about and provide some insight into how college both positively and negatively impacts building a business. A lot of people feel strongly, one way or another about this, and I wanted to provide my input. Here’s the PROS & CONS IMO, about running/starting a business in college:

PROS:

  • Entrepreneurship, Funding, and Business Resources

  • HUGE Network (Investors, Founders, and MORE)

  • Easy to reach a massive customer base (College Students)

  • Family Mentality towards building businesses (All students support each other)

CONS:

  • Time Crunches (Fitting in Gym, School, Work, Content, & Social Life)

  • Confused priorities (Switching between the biz & school + exams)

  • Hard to go “All In” (A lot of people drop out so that their biz is their only option and they have to succeed, instead of having a degree to fall back on.)

There is A LOT of both pros and cons to starting and running a business in college, but in my opinion, if you’re good at managing your time and your stress, and you’re fully committed, and dedicated to working on your idea, college is a big plus.

Personally, I want to make Niche successful, while gaining an education, expanding my network in college, and graduating.

There are some founders, where their business grows so fast and the opportunity is too good to pass up. These guys have to drop out, because they simply need the time to make their business continue to be successful, and I don’t blame them for that.

As for now, I don’t see myself doing that, but, if Niche blows up the way I plan for it too, I’ll have to hire some serious firepower to ensure I have enough time to focus on both the biz and school!

Summer Plans! 😎

After talking about college, I also want to talk about our plans for this summer, and how we’re going to use it to exponentially grow Niche. Obviously, not being in school for the summer, Quin and I have a lot more time to focus on the business. This gives us lots of opportunity to grow the business and have strong momentum and systems in place coming into the schoolyear next fall. Some things we’re hoping to accomplish this summer are:

  • Growing our social media presence IMMENSELY

  • Selling out of our first drop! (Already 1/3 of the way there just from Pre-Orders… THANK YOU GUYS!)

  • Getting our second batch of inventory in with more flavors!

  • Doing pop-up shops. Whether it be at the gym, with sports teams, at run clubs, at the beach, or wherever! Keep your eyes out for us!

  • Partnering with organizations / supplement stores

We’ve made a good push in the first 1/3 of the year, from starting the business, to growing a social media presence, to receiving our first funding, and even making our first sales. But we know this summer is going to be MASSIVE, and we can’t wait for you guys to follow along with us. We’re so passionate, and dedicated to Niche, and excited for what is to come!

That’s all I have for you this week!

Thank you so much for reading, and for your support!

As always, if you have any questions, feedback, tips, or even wanna say hi, don’t be afraid to reach out!

Have the best week,

Wyatt | Founder
